Cat Mazza, Ruth Cross and Liz Collins inspiring my Knitting!

Cat Mazza is a textile artist which has inspired a number of my knitted samples. It has been interesting to look at the text she uses on a number garments and accessories. This artist portrays strong political messages against sweat shop labour used in major clothing manufactures.

Cat Mazza’s Micro Revolt series of logo knits gives a great example of her text based work, where she creates garments stating the name of each sweat shop offender.

A knitting company called Ruth Cross has influenced a number of my cable samples. The company’s cable throws and hot water bottle covers have influenced a series of my hand knitted pieces.
